Everyone’s already abandoned their 2026 posting schedule.
The New Year motivation has worn off.
The accountability posts have stopped.
And I’m sitting here thinking about the post I published last week that got 2 likes.
You know what though?
I’m going to post again today anyway.
Because somewhere along the line, we forgot what social media is actually for.
It’s a trust-building tool.
Most definitely not a popularity contest.
So here’s what I want us to normalise in 2026:
Posting with more purpose than going viral.
Creating content that serves your audience, not an algorithm.
Putting in the time to build relationships with other businesses.
Commenting. Sharing. Actually engaging beyond a quick like.
Not jumping on trends.
Dancing won’t bring you mortgages.
Showing up & starting before you’re “ready”.
Perfect is the enemy of posted.
Reposting old content.
Your best post from 6 months ago? Most people never saw it.
Post it again.
Having posts flop sometimes.
It happens. Post again tomorrow.
The people who win at social media in 2026 won’t be the ones chasing a ‘viral’ post.
They’ll be the ones who just kept showing up.
Even when nobody was watching.
Especially when nobody was watching.
Let’s normalise all of the above this year.
