A few weeks ago, I told you about how Google is now featuring videos in their search results, which means more eyes on your content.

Today I’m going to show you the 3 things you need to do to increase the chances of having your videos featured in those Google searches.

By doing these 3 things, you’re telling Google that your videos are valuable and should be put in front of more people.

Most people think hashtags are the key to reaching more people, but they’re not.

Social Media SEO over Hashtags

Here’s how you can get found faster and boost your visibility with a few simple tweaks.👇

🎙️ Tip 1: Say Your Keywords Out Loud

Google’s smart enough to “listen” to your videos. So, if you want to show up in search, make sure to actually say the things people are typing into Google.

Think:

– “How to get a mortgage with bad credit”

– “How much deposit do I need as a first-time buyer?”

These aren’t just helpful, they’re high-value search terms your ideal clients are Googling daily.

💬 Tip 2: Don’t Sleep on Captions

Captions are the written part of your social media post.

When it comes to search engines, your captions are golden real estate.

Use them wisely.

Try writing like you’re answering your audience’s top questions. (Because you are!)

❌Swap this: “Big news today!”

✅ For that: “How much deposit do I need? Here’s what first-time buyers often get wrong…”

🧠 Hint: Captions don’t have to be boring, just useful.

#️⃣ Tip 3: Hashtags ≠ SEO

In the past, hashtags did most of the heavy lifting

But today?

Not so much.

Google’s laser-focused on content and context.

So spend less time on researching hashtags and more time crafting captions and videos that address real problems.

That’s it

With just a few content tweaks, your posts will now do two things: engage your followers and attract fresh eyes from Google.
