By utilising these awareness days and incorporating them into your Quarter 2 content plan, you’ll not only be able to reduce the time spent thinking “What Do I Post?” 🧐
But you’ll also help more people connect with your business online by injecting some personality and dare I say it humour! (Yes you can have a laugh even though it’s your business page)
Most people fail with these golden nuggets of awareness days because they create a Canva post that simply says:
“National Fish & Chips Day”
Which lacks personality and doesn’t help your audience learn anything about who you are or what you do! 👀

We’ve rounded up a few Awareness Days over the next 3 months that could work perfectly for mortgage advisers:
Stress Awareness Month (April) 😬
Write down the 2 things your clients stress most about, and create a piece of content for each:
- Being able to get a mortgage if they’ve just changed jobs! 🧳
Post Idea: Create a graphic in Canva in the form of a FAQ that tells them they don’t need to stress, a job change isn’t the be-all and end-all!
- Where do they even start when buying a house? 😩
Post Idea: Record a video about how an AIP is their starting point and a golden ticket to securing a new home.
International Day of Families (15th May) ❤️
This is a great day to approach both mortgage advice and protection awareness:
- Get a family photo from one of your clients in their new home. Your audience loves to see social proof and what’s better than showing a happy family on moving day? 📦
- Create a video sharing the benefits of Family Critical Illness Cover- that both the parents and children can be covered with. ❤️
National Fish & Chips Day (6th June) 🍟
It’s so important to show a bit of personality on social media, and this day is perfect for it.
Some great ideas to connect with your audience and drive engagement:
- Photos of you on a family holiday by the sea with the caption – “Lots of Fish & Chips were consumed on this holiday!”
- Ask your audience a question: “Brown or red sauce on your fish & chips?” or even one to start arguments
“Should Ketchup be kept in the cupboard or the fridge” 😱
There are plenty more out there, but these should give you a great starting point!
The key is to choose days that align with your personality and use them to spark meaningful conversations.
