No I haven’t got that wrong, you read it right, read on to find out why.

Today I’m going to show you how to post more content on your social media channels that gets seen by more people and increases the chances of generating leads.

It’s also a strategy you can use to save time, you’re no longer going to have to sit there pondering about what to post, because the answer is actually right in front of you.

By posting content that is most lucrative you increase the amount of appointments you do & therefore the amount of business you write.

The problem is people try and think of new lead generating content ideas every single week, which is hard, they lose interest & then don’t end posting anything.

Reposting content is better than posting nothing!

Just a heads up there are no quick wins when it comes to social media, one post isn’t going to unlock a floodgate of leads, but posting content consistently online will:

  • Position yourself as a thought leader in the mortgage space
  • Increase the reach of your posts so you become more recognisable online
  • See which content is most successful with your audience that you can reuse it

Here’s your 3 point action plan to help you post more lucrative content on your social media channels: (Don’t miss the bonus tip at the end)

1. Find your most successful social media posts

You can measure success in many different ways:

  • The reach of a post (how many people see it)
  • How many likes, comments or shares you’ve had on a post
  • How many people have spoken to you about a social media post

2. Take this post and work out why it was successful:

  • Was it answering a question for your audience that was topical at the time/
  • Did they recognise a member of staff on the post, or maybe a local landmark that they were familiar with (if it was more of a personal post?)
  • Were they acting as your ‘raving fans’ online by sharing or commenting on a glowing customer review you uploaded?

You could even find out this information by asking your audience as to why they interacted with a particular post.

3. Make the most out of the post

Take this particular post and either post it in its exact form (say if it was an image you made in Canva & uploaded)

Or take it a step further & do a video saying exactly what you said in the post – some of your audience may react better to a video than a static image. (remember to use subtitles)

Next, take this post and turn it into a longer form piece of content, like a blog post for your website.

From that one successful piece of content you have not only reused it (by simply reposting) but also created 2 pieces of content off the back of it, without having to think “What do I post this week?”

Bonus Tip:

Say your top performing post was “Are 5% deposit mortgages still around for First Time Buyers?” Which was uploaded during a time when First Time Buyers getting on the property ladder featured in the news that week.

From this post we know that First Time Buyers like to hear about the availability of 5% deposit mortgages, so they may also want to know:

  • Will my deposit affect my interest rate?
  • Can I get a mortgage without a deposit?
  • When do I have to pay my deposit?

By repurposing one piece of content we’ve also been able to come up with 3 further pieces- with little effort!

When you’ve posted these pieces of content you can then go back to the beginning of this plan and start the process again.

Following this 3 point plan (with our little bonus tip thrown in there) you’ll save time, and your sanity when it comes to posting lucrative content on your social media.
