Today I’m going to show you the most successful social media platform that mortgage advisers use to grow their audience, their business, and the amount of leads they generate 📈
By utilising the tools outlined in this email on this platform (that are all free, no paid adverts in sight) you’ll be able to reach more potential clients than you ever imagined! 👏
Most people fail because they overlook this platform & go straight to the shiny new ones (like Tik Tok)
Facebook wins over Tik Tok!
There, I’ve said it: I still feel Facebook is the number one platform to grow your mortgage business on 😱
Yes, Tik Tok is great for flash in the pan viral content, but many people don’t realise how hard it is to go viral
Instead, lots of successful mortgage advisers have used Facebook for years to consistently fill their pipeline with top quality leads and these are the tools that you can use on Facebook to do the same in 2024:
1. The Facebook Business Page is mightier than you think 🗡️
Facebook business pages, compared to Instagram & Tik Tok, have a lot more advertising space!
Along with the profile image (which they all have) you have a huge space in the ‘Cover Photo’ to show your clients exactly what you do, like the below:
Wyke Financial is a perfect example of this. When someone visits their page, they know exactly how this company can help, removing any uncertainty when they reach out to talk about their Remortgage ✅
The cover photos is also a great way to display social proof. Show off your customer feedback in a clear and concise manner, just like Redditch Mortgage Advice do:
2. 10x your reach using Facebook Groups 🚀
Every village, town or city has lots of groups that are FULL of your ideal client. You know the groups, where you see the complaint of dog poo on Acacia Avenue! 💩
Go and visit these groups and see how many mortgage advisers are posting in there- I bet you there are hardly any!
This is your chance to infiltrate those groups and share your most valuable posts into them. Give your audience as much value as possible and make sure your posts/videos are branded so you start to get known in your local area 🤩
To get the best out of these groups join 20+ and share your posts at least once a week into them (if allowed)
3. Piggy Backing audiences 🐷
This is the best kept secret when it comes to Facebook because it works!
We spoke last week about how to forge relationships with local businesses, this takes it a step further
Start commenting on other local businesses posts, for example commenting on Smith’s Butchers Christmas hamper pack that’s on sale. This has 2 benefits:
- Show that particular local business that you are interested in their content, which could lead to business or ‘post sharing’ relationships in the future 🤝
- This is the biggie: The audience of that business will see your business name in the comments – thus ‘piggy backing’ the local business’s audience 🐷
If the audience that reads these comments are in the market for a mortgage, they’re much more likely to deal with you because you seem to have a relationship with “Smiths Butchers” rather than Jones mortgages who don’t interact at all with other local businesses 👏
4. Facebook Reels 🤳
Everyone seems to know about Instagram Reels but haven’t heard about Facebook Reels 🤯
They’re exactly the same thing, but Facebook Reels have seen 10, 20 even 100 times reach compared to Instagram Reels! 🚀
Whenever you’re uploading a video on Facebook, make sure you upload it as a Reel, not a video, and watch the amount of people that see it explode!! 💥
So, before you go and learn that new trending dance on Tik Tok, spend Q1 of 2024 putting a big effort into Facebook, sharing, interacting and piggy backing – and see the results! 📈
