Let me guess.
When someone mentions TikTok, you picture teenagers doing dances in their bedrooms.
And the idea of a mortgage broker posting on there feels… embarrassing at best.
I get it.
But here’s the thing.
TikTok has over 1 billion users.
It’s the fastest-growing platform for business right now.
And more importantly, it’s becoming the place people go to search for information, the same way they used to turn to Google.
Your clients are on there.
Your next clients are on there.
Searching for answers that you could be giving them.
So the question isn’t whether TikTok is worth it.
The question is whether you’re willing to show up in a way that doesn’t make you want to hide under your desk.
Stop trying to go viral. Start being useful instead.
There are three types of content that work really well for brokers, and none of them involve dancing.
- Case Studies
Not vague success stories, but specific ones with real numbers that make people stop scrolling and think “that could be me.”
- News Updates
When something happens in the media that affects mortgages or the property market, most people don’t understand what it means for them. You do. Be the person that explains it.
Use the green screen feature if you can.
- FAQs
You’ve answered the same questions hundreds of times this month. Film the answers. Done.
One more thing
The biggest mistake I see is people waiting until they feel ready.
Until the lighting’s perfect, the script’s polished, the background looks professional.
You don’t need to be perfect. You need to be helpful.
Your ideal clients are out there right now, searching for someone they can trust.
Every week you’re not posting is a week someone else gets found instead.
I’ve put together a full workshop on exactly how to do all of this inside the LearningLab™️
Setting up your profile properly, finding the right content ideas, scripting your first video, posting it, and building a consistent habit around it.
It’s the kind of session where you leave with a clear plan, not just a vague idea of what you should probably do at some point.
If you want access to that workshop and everything else inside the Learning Lab, you can join here: https://socialforbrokers.com/learning-lab
Here’s to content without the cringe
